A warrant was issued Wednesday after a woman who entered guilty pleas to drug trafficking charges in July was a no-show for her sentencing at the Medicine Hat courthouse.

Siofean Coderre, 43, was set to be sentenced following a May drug bust, where police say $33,000 in methamphetamine was seized in Medicine Hat.

At the time pleas were entered, a judge granted defence counsel’s request for a presentencing report, and that Coderre be released on $1,000 cash bail until her sentencing.

“We have no idea where Coderre is,” said defence counsel Wednesday, getting permission from the court to come off the record. Family also does not know where she is, counsel said, while the presentencing reports were never completed.

Coderre was arrested following an undercover police operation to purchase meth, and had entered guilty pleas to trafficking, possessing proceeds of crimes and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Her co-accused, Paul Rasmussen, entered guilty pleas to 20 charges — including trafficking and firearm charges — over the incident on Sept. 28. A tentative sentencing was set for Oct. 31. Bail was denied to Rasmussen at an earlier hearing but the Crown agreed to his release on a $3,000 surety provided by his mother and with the condition he live under a 24/7 curfew with her in Red Deer until he is sentenced.
