Midget AA Hounds win again

Medicine Hat out shot Okotoks 45-31.

Dawsen Savage was in net for the win with 30 saves.

The Midget AA Hounds are back in action again on Friday in Taber against the Taber Golden Suns and then back at home on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Kinplex against Bow Valley.

Bantam AAA

The Southeast Tigers picked up their first wins of the season this weekend against the Lloydminst­er Bobcats and then Ft. Saskatchew­an Rangers.

The Tigers won Saturday 6-0 in Lloydminst­er, then managed to pull off a 6-5 win Sunday, bringing their record to 2-3-2 through seven games.

The Tigers have 24 goals for, and 23 against this year, with goalies Marek Andres and Brendan Olson splitting time.

The Tigers next game is Saturday when they play host to Camrose.

Midget 15s

The South East 15-yearold team fell to 0-4-0 on the season with two losses this weekend.

The team played host to the Rockyview Raiders Saturday, falling 4-0.

The team then lost 4-2 Sunday against the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

Ryoma Hernandez and Connor Miller scored for the Tigers in the loss.

The team now has seven goals for and 21 against through four games this season.

Pee Wee

The Medicine Hat Hounds PeeWee AA went to Red Deer for the 2017 Thanksgivi­ng Invitation­al this past weekend.

The Hounds opened their tourney on Friday afternoon with a 8-6 win against Parkland Transmissi­on Chiefs. Dawson Seitz led the scoring with four goals in the game. Silas Currie played in goal.

Later that evening they posted a 16-0 win against Edmonton Seera Stealth. Goaltender Beck Boiteau had the shutout. Shane Smith and Dawson Stewart each had four goals in the game.

Saturday's action included a 10-0 victory against the Beaumont Braves. Currie had the shutout in net. The Hounds recorded three power play goals.

In the semi final on Saturday night, they played a physical battle with Sherwood Park Kac Steel Kings. The Hounds won 3-0 including two goals from Dawson Stewart. Boiteau had his second shutout of the weekend.

The gold medal final had the Hounds face off against the speedy Olds Grizzlies. It was a close game until late in the second period when the the Hounds scored three to end the period. They scored one more in the third period to seal the 5-1 gold medal victory. Shane Smith had four goals in the game.
