Mahoney loves their ‘and Friends’ show
It’s the most wonderful time of the year and that means it’s also Mahoney time.
The popular Medicine Hat duo of Trent Roset and Ryan Massini are back at the Esplanade on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. with their annual Mahoney and Friends show.
The show gathers some of Medicine Hat’s favourite bands to play cover songs they’ve come to love over the years.
This year’s lineup includes fellow Medicine Hat bands Snakes and the Riot and Gas City Shocker as well as singer/drummer/pianist/actor Tyler Casat, Cold Shot lead singer Nathan Scott, sisters in the evening’s string section Jacqueline Walker and Karalynn Tagg and DJ Ohmzone.
Roset called Casat one of the up-and-coming talents in the Medicine Hat entertainment scene and “he’s going to steal all the young girls’ hearts.”
Roset and Massini did a solo show at the Esplanade a few years back before expanding the lineup. This is the third annual Mahoney and Friends Christmas season show and is one of the year’s highlights for Mahoney.
“It’s so much fun,” Roset said this week. “It’s going to be our biggest show of the year with the best crew of musicians.”

A small number of general admission tickets are still available and more are available in the balcony if that’s more your thing.
