Misconduct on both sides

The guest column amuses me because out of all the editorial pieces I have read in the Medicine Hat News Peter Mueller’s are by far the most partisan of all.
His latest partisan crock of snivel drama would have everyone believing that the Republicans south of us are the most morally corrupt pack there ever was and spend 23 hours a day running around and practicing sexual misconduct on all women and it is ignored by millions of Americans. While he was accusing Republicans of this he forgot (I’m sure it only slipped his mind) to mention a couple of Democrats that haven’t been so well behaved. I’ll help you out here, Peter. Democratic senator Al Franken is right now facing allegations of sexual misconduct and refuses to resign even though many in his own party beg him to. The Florida Democratic chairman has six staffers and consultants accusing him of sexual misconduct. California State House Democrats and lawmakers Tony Mendoza and Raul Bocanegra are both accused of sexual misconduct by several women. Seattle mayor Ed Murray, a democrat, was just forced to resign and is accused of rape and pedophilia and running a child sex ring along with 10 other senior democrats. Democratic New York mayor Rick Nelson recently resigned because of child porn charges and has a history going back decades of sexual misconduct involving teens and children. And the creme de la creme is the democratic Ohio mayor who was sentenced to life in prison for raping a four-year-old ... repeatedly. He said during his trial that the four-year-old was a willing participant.
There are dozens more but I think the readers should get the drift, right Peter? If you are looking for a strong moral standing in the U.S. you can’t just trust all the democrats and automatically abhor all republicans as Mr. Mueller would have you believe.
As far as the NDP saving everyone in Alberta, how about this for a simple “fact.” Mueller claims that 70,000 jobs have been added to the private sector this year. Stats Can recently reported 34,000 full-time jobs have been added to Alberta in the past two years. Those are full time, the rest are minimum wage, part-time jobs. Those 34,000 full-time jobs cost Albertans $42 billion. Had this NDP government simply given $1 million to 42,000 lower-class, jobless people, not 34,000, those 42,000 people would have $50,000 a year for 20 years to live tax-free. They would also invest huge amounts into the economy. In other words. If they just took the $42 billion and gave it away to needy Albertans instead of wasting it tooling around the world and telling everyone the premier is saving the planet by taxing hurting Albertans to death, we’d probably be better off. The ball is in your court, Peter. Remember when you reply that you apparently think partisanship is poisonous.
