Winnipeg a monster on home ice

WINNIPEG Dustin Byfuglien scored and added an assist as Winnipeg edged the Arizona Coyotes 4-3 on Tuesday to become the second NHL team to reach 20 home wins this season.

Dmitry Kulikov had the eventual winner in the second period for the Jets (32-13-9), who have secured points in 10-straight games at Bell MTS Place, going 9-0-1 over that span and improving to 20-3-2 at home this season.

Jack Roslovic and Nic Petan also scored for Winnipeg, while Connor Hellebuyck made 18 saves to capture his 28th win of the season (28-6-8), moving him into a tie with Washington’s Braden Holtby for the second-most in the NHL this season.

Kevin Connauton, Christian Dvorak and Derek Stepan replied for the Coyotes, who have now lost four straight, falling to a league-worst 1232-9. Antti Raanta stopped 19 shots for Arizona.

FLAMES 3, BLACKHAWKS 2

CHICAGO — Michael Stone scored with 3:30 left and the Calgary Flames beat the Chicago Blackhawks for the second straight game.

Dougie Hamilton and Sean Monahan also scored for Calgary, and Mike Smith made 34 saves in the opener of a six-game trip. The Flames topped the Blackhawks 4-3 Saturday night on Monahan’s overtime goal in Calgary.

Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane scored for last-place Chicago.

SENATORS 5, DEVILS 3

OTTAWA — Matt Duchene scored and added two assists as the under-manned Ottawa Senators posted a victory over the New Jersey Devils.

Mike Hoffman, Chris DiDomenico, Colin White and Zack Smith also scored for Ottawa (18-25-9). Craig Anderson made 30 saves.

PANTHERS 3, CANUCKS 1

SUNRISE, Fla. — Aleksander Barkov scored twice, including the go-ahead goal late in the second period, to lead the Florida Panthers past the Vancouver Canucks.

Jamie McGinn also scored for the Panthers. Harri Sateri made 26 saves for his fourth consecutiv­e win.

Markus Granlund scored for the Canucks, and Jacob Markstrom stopped 37 shots.

4 PENGUINS 5 GOLDEN KNIGHTS

PITTSBURGH — Third-period goals by Evgeni Malkin and Phil Kessel ruined former teammate Marc-Andre Fleury’s homecoming as the Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Vegas Golden Knights.

Fleury, who won three Stanley Cups with the Penguins — including the last two seasons — returned to Pittsburgh for the first time since Vegas selected him in the expansion draft last summer. Fleury, who stopped 33 shots, beat his former teammates in December in Las Vegas.

Matt Murray, Fleury’s former understudy in Pittsburgh, made 21 saves to top his mentor.

ST. LOUIS — Jason Zucker tied a career high with his 22nd goal and Devan Dubnyk made 35 saves to help the Minnesota Wild to a win over the St. Louis Blues.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Jordan Weal scored with 3.1 seconds left in overtime and the Philadelph­ia Flyers beat the Carolina Hurricanes.

DETROIT — Sean Kuraly and David Krejci scored in the second period, and the surging Boston Bruins rallied for a victory over the Detroit Red Wings.

DUCKS 4 SABRES 3, OT

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Adam Henrique scored 1:36 into overtime and the Anaheim Ducks snapped a threegame skid with a win over the Buffalo Sabres.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Nicklas Backstrom scored the winning goal with 43 seconds left, Braden Holtby made 37 saves and the Washington Capitals beat the Columbus Blue Jackets.
