Sun Devils romp in peewee games

Medicine Hat’s peewee Sun Devils romped to a couple big wins Saturday in league play.

At Fort MacLeod, the Devils beat Lethbridge 12-1. Madden Kelly had four goals, Emersyn Baugh and Hudson Gainer two apiece while Easton Ertmoed, Jack Henry, Wyatt Bower and Brooklynne Painter had the others.

The score was even more of a blowout in their game that same day against Nanton. Kelly had another four, Gainer three, Christian Niebergall, Koen Armbrster, Bower, Henry and Ertmoed had two each with Painter getting a single.

Bantam

Medicine Hat’s bantam Sun Devils earned an 11-5 win over Lethbridge Saturday.

At Rosemary, Josh Drefs had four of his five goals in the opening period, while Ethan McClain and Matthew MacPherson each had two. Kaden Sundholm and Race Anderson rounded out the scoring for the Devils, who never trailed.

Ries Bower had two of Lethbridge’s goals.

The bantams also played Saturday in Brooks, dropping a 6-5 decision. Drefs had three goals, MacPherson one and Carson Imes one. Devon Robichaud’s with a little more than three minutes to go earned Brooks the win. Also on Saturday, a different Hat bantam team beat Lethbridge 6-5 and lost to Brooks. Aden Nevil had three goals in the win while Brennin Werely, Chase Onheliger and Jayden Richards had the others.
