Close games, finally, for peewee team

-

After none of their first four league games were separated by less than 10 goals, the Medicine Hat Sun Devils No. 1 peewee lacrosse team finally got in a couple close ones Saturday.

The Devils split their games in Lethbridge, falling 7-3 to the Brooks Drillers before beating the Cudas No. 2 side 9-6.

Everett Liefso, Torin Thickson and Baker Thompson had Medicine Hat’s goals against Brooks, which pulled away with a couple quick goals in the third after Liefso made it 3-2.

Close was not how you’d describe the other peewee Sun Devils’ games Saturday.

Jack Henry had a ridiculous seven goals against Nanton. Madden Kelly and Wyatt Bower had four each, Christian Niebergall two and Brooklynne Painter one.
