Ticked Off

Enough already. Taxpayers have been subsidizing the energy sector for decades through tax breaks, royalty reductions, stimulus programs, direct investment and other job creation programs. Large multi-nationals have gladly taken the money and reinvested outside Canada. Perhaps now is the time to finally make it official and just nationalize the industry, at least taxpayers would finally have better control where their tax dollars are being spent and reinvested.

Regarding a recently published article that 1,500 persons submitted a petition to Ottawa in favour of procurement and use of military gun weapons. Was there not a place in that petition to include those who would not be in favour?

Many thanks to friends and family who came out to help celebrate a special lady’s big birthday. Also thank you to the Medicine Hat Fire Department with all the bells and whistles. It is much appreciated.

It is about time the banks opened.

Tickled pink all Albertans are paying for doctors that have 10 years of schooling for their profession. Ticked off that lifer political leaders make more money and are disrespectful to us taxpayers.

Ticked at these so called lawn companies that just show up at this time every year.

They have no business license or insurance and some don’t have a company name. They just go door-to-door asking people for work. They are

Have you sheep figured out that this is about a New World Order and dictatorship yet?

That so many people are getting out and going for walks, bicycling, and enjoying the fresh air. Love the smiling faces and everyone saying

“hello” or “hi”.

I am ticked off with people that think they can stuff Styrofoam into the plastic recycling containers and break them up into small/tiny pieces, making them harder to remove. Please don’t contaminate the recycling bins. We run the risk of forfeiting the whole container of recycled items.

I am concerned with the second wave of Covid-19 happening. Yes the virus may well mutate. That presents a whole new problem. Sad to predict, that with everyone self-isolating, limited herd immunity is occurring. Will a new vaccine be needed every season?

There are no children in school, nor are children allowed to play on playground equipment in the school yard. Can you please tell me why photo radar is set up in school zones. Not a cash cow, you say?

That a hand sanitizer tastes just like vodka.

Many thanks to the person who found my purse in the parking lot and turned it in. Bless you and your honest ways.

How sweet it was to see a fire truck come into our neighbourhood for a little fella’s birthday. Not only did they have the lights going and sirens on, they actually sang “Happy Birthday” on the loud speaker. Love it. You made the little guy’s year and made my day from watching down the street. A little kindness goes a really long way right now. Be kind to one another and our days will be so much brighter.

Ticked Off

Ticked off at the people that find it necessary to spit in public. Like the fellow that spit upwind of me in Kin Coulee on a bicycle. Six feet of distancing doesn’t help in that case.

Please grow up and kick your habit.

The street sweepers did a fantastic job in our neighbourhood last week. Hats off to a job well done. And after many years, the city fix-it crew straightened up our street/yield sign. Thanks to all of them.
