RETIRED CANADIEN has a lot to say on Gazette’s first HIO talk show
On Friday, The Gazette launched a new feature on hockeyinsideout.com: the Hockey Inside/Out talk show (hockeyinsideout.com/show).
The 25-minute videotaped web show focuses on the latest news surrounding the Canadiens. Joining me on the first show is Gazette sports columnist/feature writer Dave Stubbs and a man who needs no introduction to Habs fans: Chris (Knuckles) Nilan.
Among the topics we touched on during the show are:

Nilan recalls Canadiens GM Marc Bergevin as an on-ice opponent in the NHL and comments, along with Stubbs, on how Bergevin has quickly changed the culture of the Canadiens.

Nilan also tells a touching story about his 1986 Canadiens Stanley Cup ring, about how he ended up with No. 30, and he insists that he never received a tap on the shoulder from a coach to go on the ice and drop the gloves during a game. “Knuckles,” who knew his role with the Canadiens, also says what he would have done to any coach who would have dared given him the tap.
