THESE VINTAGE BEAUTIES

-

Are you into antique cars? Do you have a collection of rare books? Are you partial to that old family heirloom? Maybe it’s that old antique coffee table? Or, you are just one of the rare few who still uses a typewriter. We asked to see your vintage favourites, whatever they might be.

And there were a few old beauties, for sure.

This week’s winner is Ulrich Hotz of Beaconsfield for a photo of himself with his first car, a 10-year-old 1958 Mercedes 190SL. Sweet ride. Congratulations. Also on this page are a few honourable mentions.

THE NEXT THEME: SHOW US A SIGN

Signs are everywhere. They instruct you on what to do. And what not to do. Where to park. Where not to park. Where you can walk your dog. And where you cannot. Stop. Go. Don’t stop. That road is closed. Please don’t use your cellphone. Take a number. And then there are those signs that leave you a little puzzled.

Send us a photo of a sign. It can be anywhere or about anything. What’s your favourite sign?

Please make sure your photos are high-resolution JPEGs.

We will be publishing a collection of photographs that are submitted both online and in the next print edition of the West Island Gazette.

Go to montrealgazette.com. Scroll down the home page until you see the West Island tab. Click on it. On the West Island page, look for the “Post Your Photos Here” box on the right-hand side. Then, follow the instructions. Send us your best shots.
