Lionel Richie wants to say ‘Hello’ to Adele

Way back in 1984, Lionel Richie had a big hit called Hello. Now there are several online mash-ups (the short funny one’s the best) combining that ditty with Adele’s giant new hit of the same name.

Richie knows a good thing when he sees one.

Calling the mash-up “hilarious,” Richie tells E!News that he and Adele “are going to be doing something together — that’s already almost in the works.”

He’s 66. She’s 27.

Most of Lupita Nyong’o’s scenes

have been cut from the new Star Wars movie, because director J.J. Abrams found her acting to be “wooden,” says the Sun, in England. Those in a position to know are not commenting.

The paper says the Oscarwinning actress had to re-record a lot of her dialogue, and even then Abrams wasn’t satisfied. Her character appears to be all or mostly computer-generated images, but Abrams didn’t like the way she delivered her lines, the Sun claims.

The movie opens Dec. 18.

Chris Brown has cancelled his

Australia-New Zealand tour, because he was refused a visa for entry into Australia, Rolling Stone says.

Ticketek, a big ticketing agency down there, posted a statement from the tour’s promoters, promising refunds for the cancelled December gigs. Brown apologizes to fans, and says he hopes to get this fixed soon, the statement says. The Aussie government warned Brown in September that a visa was unlikely, because of that criminal conviction for beating up Rihanna.

In October Sandra Bullock was

denying any plans to adopt a second child. She wasn’t exactly being candid.

People mag’s latest cover shows the actress with her 3-year-old daughter Laila, just adopted from Louisiana.

“When I look at Laila,” Bullock says, “there’s no doubt in my mind that she was supposed to be here.” In 2010 she adopted a little boy, Louis.

Bullock says she’s been working on this for years, but denied it when reporters asked, for fear of jinxing the process.

She’s 51. Louis is 5.

Halima Rashid, wife of Michael

Jackson’s brother Jermaine, was arrested Saturday night after she allegedly bit Jermaine on the leg, TMZ.com reports. Cops came to their home in Woodland Hills, Calif., after somebody phoned them.

Halima spent five hours in the hoosegow, then was released on $50,000 bail. She was charged with felony corporal injury on a spouse.
