Body found in ventilation shaft
Montreal police say the body of a 46-year-old man who went missing last May was found in the apartment building where he worked. Dmitri Drjazgin’s body was found in the ventilation shaft of a highrise apartment building on Queen Mary Rd. in Côte-des-Neiges—Notre-Dame-de-Grâce. The man worked as a superintendent at the highrise. He went missing on May 16, when he did not return home after work. The body was found Tuesday evening when an employee of the building noticed a bad smell and opened the ventilation shaft on the building ’s bottom floor. “At this point, after having spoken to the family, and considering how the body was found, we believe this was a suicide,” Montreal police Constable Jean-Pierre Brabant said.
