IGNACIO PIATTI

The Argentinian midfielder ended his four-game scoring drought with a goal in Wednesday’s 3-1 win over the San Jose Earthquakes at Saputo Stadium. Piatti leads the Impact with 15 goals and ranks fourth in MLS in that category. The three players ahead of him are all forwards — New York Red Bulls’ Bradley WrightPhillips (20), New York City’s David Villa (19) and Toronto’s Sebastian Giovinco (16).

DOMINIC ODURO

The speedy Impact forward from Ghana made his first start in four games against San Jose and responded by scoring his first goal since May 7 against Columbus, ending a 17-game goal drought. Oduro still ranks third on the Impact in goals this season with five, trailing Piatti and Didier Drogba, who has 10.

DIDIER DROGBA

Coach Mauro Biello didn’t put the designated player in the starting lineup against San Jose and the Impact ended a four-game winless streak (0-3-1). Drogba came off the bench for the final 20 minutes and had one shot on target while picking up a yellow card. He has two goals in his last 10 games, one on a penalty kick.

KAKÁ

The Brazilian superstar has 26 million Twitter followers, was named the FIFA World Player of the Year in 2007 and is the highest-paid player in MLS, earning just over US$7 million this season with Orlando City. He scored two goals the last time these teams met on Sept. 7 at Saputo Stadium, leading Orlando City to a 4-1 win. The midfielder has eight goals and a team-leading eight assists this season.

CYLE LARIN

The 21-year-old forward from Brampton, Ont., was the No. 1 pick at the 2015 MLS SuperDraft and leads Orlando City with 14 goals this season. Last year, the 6-foot-2, 190-pounder scored 17 goals and won the MLS Rookie of the Year Award. He played university soccer for the Connecticut Huskies and is part of Canada’s national team.
