1 Price check The Canadiens will be hoping to have Carey Price back in goal after he missed Thursday’s 5-0 loss in Calgary because of a flu bug. If Price can’t play, backup Al Montoya faced the Oilers when they visited the Bell Centre on Feb. 5 and stopped all 32 shots he faced before losing 1-0 in a shootout. 2 Injury watch Alexander Radulov has missed the last three games with a lower-body injury. Tomas Plekanec missed the last two games with an upper-body injury and Brian Flynn didn’t play in Calgary because of an upper-body injury. 3 Emelin watch Alexei Emelin was made a healthy scratch by coach Claude Julien for Tuesday’s 2-1 overtime win in Vancouver, but the defenceman was back in the Canadiens’ lineup Thursday in Calgary and finished minus-3. It will be interesting to see if Brandon Davidson will get back in the lineup in place of Emelin. 4 Connor McDavid Show Heading into Friday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Rogers Place, the Oilers’ Connor McDavid was leading the NHL scoring race with 22-52-74 totals. The 20-year-old was four points ahead of five players tied for second: Pittsburgh’s Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, Boston’s Brad Marchand, Chicago’s Patrick Kane and San Jose defenceman Brent Burns. 5 Desharnais faces old team Former Canadien David Desharnais will face his former team for the first time since being dealt to Edmonton for Davidson on Feb. 28. Desharnais had one assist in his first two games with the Oilers, averaging 12:34 of ice time.
