The Canadian Cancer Society will

be holding their sale of daffodils fundraisin­g event starting March 29. They are looking for volunteers that can deliver the daffodils and other items to various points of sale in the West Island. Volunteers are also needed for promoting and selling daffodils at various localities in the West Island. Minimum age 18 with a valid driver’s license. The president of the Low Vision Self-help Associatio­n is looking for a volunteer that would be able to come once a week for a couple of hours to his home to read his correspond­ence and reply to it. Preferably someone with some office experience. Minimum age: 21. An organizati­on dedicated to providing support to individual­s suffering from environmen­tal sensitivit­ies is looking for various volunteers: A graphic artist that can help to create posters, pamphlet and other publicity for the group. Work can be done from the volunteer’s home; a volunteer to help put together a newsletter; and one to help with website building and maintenanc­e The Heart and Stroke Society is looking for volunteer drivers that can be on call to distribute material as part of their annual door to door campaign taking place February to May. Volunteers will receive payment for gas expense. Minimum age 18 most have valid driver’s license. Also a volunteer to help build and maintain their website.
