Sport: Soccer Major: Management Key accomplishment: The veteran midfielder led the Rouge et Or to their second national title in three seasons with 10 goals and 18 points in 14 matches.

Claire Sumner, Queen’s University Sport: Cross Country

Major: Life sciences Key accomplishment: The first-team all-Canadian and aspiring medical doctor captured the individual title at the national meet.

Danielle Brisebois, UBC Sport: Volleyball Major: Psychology

Key accomplishment: The fifth-year left side led the national championship in points (5.8) and kills per set (5.27) after ranking sixth and seventh in the country in each category during the regular season. Philippe Maillet, UNB Sport: Hockey

Key accomplishment: The fourthyear forward was the most prolific scorer in the country during the regular season with 23 goals and 55 points in 30 games.

Mathieu Betts, Laval University Sport: Football

Major: Physical education and health

Key accomplishment: Betts is the first U Sports football player to win both the J.P. Metras Trophy (as most outstanding down lineman) and Peter Gorman Trophy (as rookie of the year).

Jonathan Lao, York University Sport: Soccer

Major: Economics Key accomplishment: The fourthyear midfielder collected four goals and seven points in leading York to an undefeated record of 14-0-2. Ryan Sclater, Trinity Western Sport: Volleyball

Major: English Key accomplishment: The fifth-year outside hitter ranked fifth in the country in both kills (4.29) and points (5.0) per set en route to leading Trinity Western to a second consecutive national title.
