Galipeault Bridge, LBPSB completely shut down

GALIPEAULT BRIDGE

Quebec’s transport department closed the Galipeault Bridge in both directions Sunday evening, cutting off the link on Highway 20 between Montreal Island and ÎlePerrot. The bridge will remain closed until further notice.

COMMUTER TRAINS

The Agence métropolit­aine de transport announced Sunday night that it will add an extra

departure from Vaudreuil station toward Montreal at 8:45 a.m. Monday, and that

service will be free on the Vaudreuil-Hudson and DeuxMontag­nes lines on Monday.

SCHOOLS CLOSED

The following are closed Monday (road closings might affect school bus routes for other schools):

Lester B. Pearson School Board:

All schools, centres and daycares will be closed Monday. Pierrefond­s Comprehens­ive High School and the West Island Career Centre, which are being used as a command centre by the Red Cross, will also remain closed on Tuesday.

■ Pierrefond­s-Roxboro borough hall on Pierrefond­s Blvd. and surroundin­g buildings are closed Monday. The Citizen’s Office, permit counter, Pierrefond­s Cultural Centre, library and Marcel Morin Community Centre are all closed until further notice. Sacré-Coeur

■ Hospital has closed and evacuated its Albert Prévost Pavillion on Perras Blvd. in Montreal North due to flooding.
