Water levels in the West Island are stabilizing. Cleanup has begun.

Pierrefonds-Roxboro is gearing up for a massive cleanup on Saturday. Borough Mayor Jim Beis has put out the call for strong volunteers to help dispose of the piles of sandbags used during the flooding. For details, visit the Inondations Floods — Pierrefonds-Roxboro Facebook page.

Senneville has two containers — one for organic and regular garbage and the other for flood debris — set up at two locations: the Senneville parking lot, 20 Morningside Ave. and at Michel-Legault Park, 35 Phillips Ave. The containers are accessible 24/7. Sandbags can be stacked next to the containers.

Residents who cannot transport their sandbags should call 514-4576020 to make an appointment for pickup. Sandbags must be stacked on the pallets curb side.

Beaconsfield will be collecting debris from properties facing Lake St-Louis all week. Debris and waste must be placed curb side. Residents with sandbags will receive palettes in early June. Palettes must be placed on asphalt or pavement and made accessible for collection. A second collection of flood debris will take place June 12 and heavy machinery will collection the sandbags and palettes during the week of June 12.

For information, call 514-4284500 during office hours or 514428-5999 anytime, or email inondationsfloods@beaconsfield.ca.

Île-Bizard-Ste-Geneviève held its big cleanup May 20, but garbage trucks will continue to circulate through the borough daily to pick up flood debris.

In Île-Bizard, there are public works containers accessible at 571 Cherrier St., Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the intersection of Monique and Paquin Sts. and at the mobile-home park on Fernand St. Containers are installed in a church parking lot near Jacques-Cardinal Park in Ste-Geneviève. No sand, sandbags or pallets can be placed in these containers and people are asked not to drop them off at public works. Instead, pile them near the street. Keep debris and the sand/sandbags/pallets in two separate piles.
