1. À-Ma-Baie Park

The park, which spreads over 20,769 square metres at the core of the neighbourh­ood, has a playing field, skating rink, chalet, and tennis courts, as well as public parking.

2. Marie-Reine-de-la-Paix Church

A great venue for classical music concerts, Marie-Reine-de-la-Paix Church was rebuilt after a fire destroyed its original structure.

3. Le Milsa

A Brazilian steakhouse that is best known for serving all-you-can-eat charbroile­d meats that are carved tableside, Le Milsa is the spot to go for samba shows on the West Island.

4. Roxboro Public Library

This small local library was establishe­d by the residents themselves, when they started collecting books in the basement of a house. The library is now a popular hangout for kids of all ages, thanks to its family-friendly programmin­g.

5. Marché Adonis

Whether shopping for salty feta and olives or sweet baklava, Marché Adonis has got residents covered with its mouth-watering variety of Middle Eastern and Mediterran­ean specialtie­s and farm-fresh fruits and vegetables spread out over 29,000 colourful square feet.

6. Sources Blvd.

Long before the merger of the cities, when Roxboro was a summer retreat for wealthy residents of Hochelaga who travelled northwest for nature and relaxation, Sources Blvd. was known as La Source. Now, it’s a one-stop source for food, shopping and entertainm­ent.

7. Casa Mare

A neighbourh­ood mainstay since 1974, this cosy eatery invites patrons to bring their own wine and enjoy homemade Italian classics.

8. Cap-Saint-Jacques Nature Park

Bordered by water and blessed with a natural white sand beach, Cap-Saint-Jacques Nature Park is the largest park on the island. With scenic views of the Rivière des Prairies and Lac des Deux Montagnes, the park offers 16 kilometres of hiking trails and eight kilometres of bike paths, as well as an organic farm and general store.
