Portugal, Mexico score late in draw

Title contenders Portugal and Mexico fought to an entertaining 2-2 draw in the Confederations Cup on Sunday in Russia, with each team scoring in the last five minutes. Portugal looked set for a late win when Cedric Soares scored with a deflected shot in the 86th minute, but Hector Moreno equalized for Mexico with a header in stoppage time. Ricardo Quaresma also scored for Portugal, while Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez tallied for Mexico. Meanwhile, Arturo Vidal shook off an overturned goal on video review as Chile scored a 2-0 win over Cameroon. The Chileans saw a goal nullified by review due to a player being ruled offside. Chile dominated the game throughout, but couldn’t finish several first-half chances.
