Fun in the west end kicks off in style with the hit Hollywood musical La La Land, starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, on July 6 at 9 p.m. On July 20 at 9 p.m., it’s Justine Triet’s romantic comedy In Bed With Victoria, in French with English subtitles. FILM NOIR AU CANAL

Billing itself as a festival of cult police films, the third edition of this celebratio­n of old-school thrillers runs July 9 to Aug.

13 at St. Patrick Square on the Lachine Canal’s south bank, on the corner of Wellington St. and St-Patrick St. The action kicks off July 9 at sundown with Marcel Carné’s 1937 cop comedy Drôle de drame, in French with English subtitles. NDG OFF THE WALL
