What’s open and closed for the Fête

During the Fête nationale long weekend, municipal government offices, including Access Montreal offices and Montreal’s municipal court, will be closed SaturdayMo­nday.

Provincial government offices will be closed Friday-Sunday.

Most banks will be closed throughout the weekend and on Monday.

Malls and large stores, including the Montreal Eaton Centre, Les Cours Mont-Royal and Place Montréal Trust, will be closed on Saturday.

Some smaller businesses will be open, including restaurant­s, gas stations, bookstores, antique shops, florists and small grocery stores.

SAQ locations will be closed Saturday. There will be no saq.com deliveries or customer service on Monday.

Many of the city’s pharmacies, including Jean Coutu and Pharmaprix locations, will be open with limited staff throughout the holiday.

Public markets, including Jean Talon, Atwater and Maisonneuv­e, will be open Saturday.

The STM will be running on a holiday schedule. Visit stm.info for more informatio­n.

AMT commuter trains will follow the Sunday schedule on Saturday.

Garbage and recycling collection in Montreal will not be affected by the holiday.

Mail will not be collected or delivered by Canada Post on Monday.

Montreal’s Biodôme, Insectariu­m, Botanical Garden and the Rio Tinto Alcan Planetariu­m will be open.

The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts will be open throughout the holiday.

Parking meters and parking restrictio­ns are unchanged by the holiday.
