Rangers rough up Jays starter Stroman
Toronto Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman gave up three home runs Thursday afternoon as the Texas Rangers romped to an 11-4 win. It marked the ninth time this season Toronto (35-37) attempted to reach the .500 level and failed. The Jays have been outscored 73-24 in those nine games. Stroman was pulled after four innings with the Rangers (36-36) ahead 7-4. He gave up seven runs, all earned, walked two and struck out five. Texas outfielder Carlos Gomez hit two home runs, including one in the seventh off Toronto reliever Cesar Valdez.
