Teams fit to be tied at Confederations Cup
Cameroon and Australia drew 1-1 on Thursday in a physical game that left both facing early exits from the Confederations Cup. The result extends winless runs at FIFA tournaments for two teams that each lost their opening game in Russia and all three matches at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa scored for Cameroon, while captain Mark Milligan replied for the Aussies. Meanwhile, Alexis Sanchez struck early as Chile was held by Germany’s young squad to a 1-1 draw. Lars Stindl replied for Germany. The result left both teams with four points in Group B, three more than Australia and Cameroon.
