Birthday Guy: Actor Jason Clarke was born in Queensland, Australia on this day in 1969. This birthday guy has starred in such movies as “Zero Dark Thirty,” “Terminator Genisys,” and “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.” He starred as Tommy Caffee on the crime drama “Brotherhood” as well as starring on the short-lived TV series “The Chicago Code.” Clarke made his U.S. television debut on an episode of “Diagnosis Murder” in 1996.

Aries (March 21-April 19): One trueblue companion is better than 10 fair-weather friends. Being reliable and practical about joint resources is the best way to show others you care.

Taurus (April 20-May 20): The laws of attraction are operating at an alltime high. Press for commitment from those who have been drawn closer. Ignore those people who have slipped beneath the radar and are no longer relevant.

Gemini (May 21-June 20): Get the stick out of the mud and update old routines. Times have changed; what has worked for you in the past may not work so well now. Your instincts are honed to a sharp edge; use them to improve your situation.

Cancer (June 21-July 22): Be prepared for a temporary slowdown. Those you deal with today may be unpredictable or anxious to try something new at the expense of peace. You don’t need isolation, but may want a moment of solitude.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22): Like dust bunnies, however, these opportunities will not be beneficial unless you are perceptive enough to seek them out. Keep your eyes peeled in order to reap the rewards.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): A lucky break could enrich your spirit or fatten your wallet. Though you may prefer to work behind the scenes in a quiet spot away from traffic patterns don’t cut yourself off from others who may wish you well.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): If someone offers you their two cents or an apology, be wise and take it. Valuable knowledge can be gained by listening. Embrace insights and perspectives that can set you on the road to success.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): You know what they say about being pennywise and pound-foolish. You might be too exacting about your financial resources when acting on faith might be in your best interests.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Don’t waste your wants and wishes on what might turn out to be a washout. You could end up spinning your wheels on what may easily be very thin ice if you follow the lead of a partner or family member.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): You or a family member might dwell too much in the past. Once you get past the hump, and quit placing emphasis on a fear of failure, you can make positive plans for a better future.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Your tolerant acceptance of a plan may protect you from becoming a pawn in someone’s strategic plan. As a member of a team, others will feel obligated to safeguard your interests, too.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20): Someone may think well of you and voice their good opinion within earshot. You may be surprised to learn that you have a champion in the least suspected places.

if July 17 is your birthday: Life is giving you the experience you need to achieve your ambitions during the next three to four weeks. New friends and group activities will serve to widen your scope in August. You may be immersed in romantic longings in September but if you don’t take off on a wild goose chase or get distracted you can realize your ambitions and career objectives. Late September or even early October can be a great time to start a new job, to meet a romantic partner, or to make a crucial commitment. October is a great time for a vacation, to develop fresh inspirations, or to solve some long standing problems. Temporary conditions may block your efforts in early November, when it is not a good idea to make major purchases, changes or decisions.
