Due to a reporting error, a city column published in the print edition on Sept. 11 stated a 2014 RCMP report showed 1,200 Indigenous women had been murdered or gone missing without police investigating their cases thoroughly. In fact, the report Missing and Murdered Aboriginal Women: A National Operation Overview showed that 80.9 per cent of the cases were solved. The Montreal Gazette regrets the error.
