Po­lice ar­rest 37-year-old man in Quebec City-area hit and run

A two-day hunt for the driver in a hit and run that left a man in hospi­tal ended Wed­nes­day with the ar­rest of a 37-year-old sus­pect.

The in­ci­dent oc­curred Mon­day morn­ing in the Quebec City mu­nic­i­pal­ity of Neuville. The vic­tim was se­ri­ously in­jured, although his con­di­tion has since im­proved.

Pro­vin­cial po­lice ar­rested the sus­pect Wed­nes­day af­ter­noon in a govern­ment of­fice build­ing in Quebec City. He faces charges of dan­ger­ous driv­ing caus­ing in­jury and leav­ing the scene of an ac­ci­dent.

Po­lice say the sus­pect and the vic­tim know each other, but did not say whether the in­ci­dent was ac­ci­den­tal or crim­i­nal in na­ture.
