What Red would say about Habs now

Re: “Aislin’s Throwback Thursday” (Montreal Gazette, Jan. 11)

This excellent 2012 cartoon of legendary Gazette sports writer Red Fisher brought back a slew of fond memories.

Principal among them was Red’s often-used exhortation, “Show me the players.”

My all-time fave, though, would be the line he coined, year after year, and which he’d certainly use today, “The Habs are into their 25th year of re-building!”
