O’Neill joins Giller jury

Former Scotiabank Giller Prize finalist Heather O’Neill is among the jury members this year. Montrealer O’Neill will help choose the winner for the $100,000 prize given for a work of Canadian fiction. Other judges include Canadian writer and journalist Kamal Al- Solaylee and Maxine Bailey, a playwright and a vice-president with the Toronto International Film Festival. The long list will be announced on Sept. 17 and finalists will be announced on Oct. 1.
