Jets’ LAine Continues sCoring like A stAr

Winnipeg Jets right-winger Patrik Laine, Boston Bruins left-wing Brad Marchand and Pittsburgh Penguins centre Evgeni Malkin have been named the NHL’s three stars for the week ending Sunday. Laine led the NHL with five goals in three games. Laine’s week was highlighted by his fourth career hat trick, becoming the third player in NHL history to post four before celebrating his 20th birthday, joining Jimmy Carson and Dale Hawerchuk. Marchand led the league with eight points in three games as the Bruins earned three wins in four contests. Malkin had three goals and five assists in four games.
