Here is a partial list of what is open and closed in the Montreal area on Monday:
Most, if not all, of Canada’s major banks will be open.
Federal and provincial government offices will be closed.
Most city of Montreal offices will be closed, including borough offices, Access Montreal offices and points of service. Boroughs will maintain regular garbage and recycling pickups.
The municipal courthouse on Gosford St. will be closed.
Montreal arenas, swimming pools, sports centres, libraries and cultural venues will operate according to schedules set by boroughs.
The Complexe sportif Claude-Robillard will be closed.
The city’s écocentres will be closed.
The Pointe-à-Callière Museum of Archeology and History will be open.
Most large retail stores and shopping malls will be open, as well as supermarket chains
Montreal’s public markets will operate on normal hours, with a few exceptions.
The Jean-Talon market is open according to its regular hours. The Atwater and Maisonneuve markets will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m..

Most Réseau de transport de Longueuil buses will run on a Saturday schedule. For exceptions, visit rtl-longueuil. qc.ca for special schedules.
Société de transport de Laval buses will run on a Saturday schedule. Visit stl. laval.qc.ca for details.
All Réseau de transport métropolitain commuter train lines will be running on regular schedules. Visit rtm. quebec/en for more detailed information.
Société des alcools du Québec outlets are open unless they are inside a commercial centre that is closed.
The Insectarium, Botanical Garden, Biodôme and Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Bidôme will be closed as of April 3 for major renovations.
Parking meters will operate according to normal schedules, and all parking restrictions remain in effect.
The city of Montreal is warning people to pay particular attention to parking signs, as restrictions came into force on April 1 on certain streets.
