Suspect to face charges after taxi driver slashed

A 25-year-old man is expected to face charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault and parole violations after being arrested in the wake of a robbery attempt on a taxi driver in Terrebonne late Monday afternoon. The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. near 3570 Gascon Rd. Police arriving on the scene found the 47-yearold driver suffering from a slash wound across his hand and called for an ambulance to take him to hospital.
