U.S. ADVISER VOICES REGRET FOR HARSH WORDS ABOUT PM

-

Donald Trump’s trade adviser, Peter Navarro, apologized Tuesday for having said there is “a special place in hell” for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. “Let me correct a mistake I made,” Navarro, pictured, said at a Wall Street Journal conference Tuesday. “In conveying that message I used language that was inappropriate.” Trump was furious after Trudeau said at the end of the G7 summit in Quebec that he wouldn’t let Canada be pushed around in trade relations with the U.S. On Tuesday, Trump kept up the attack, saying Trudeau must not have realized that Air Force One has “20 televisions,” allowing him to monitor Trudeau’s G7 news conference. “That’s going to cost a lot of money for the people of Canada; he learned,” Trump said wagging his finger. “You can’t do that.”
