New buses in Griffintown and R.D.P. Monday

-

A new bus route serving Griffintown is among several bus route changes that take place Monday as the Société de transport de Montréal begins its fall schedule:

35 Griffintown, a new route, will ■ run from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., seven days a week, every 20 minutes during rush hour and 30 minutes the rest of the day and weekends. It will connect Place- Saint-Henri and Place-des-Arts métro stations along Notre-Dame, Wellington and McGill Sts. The six-kilometre route takes about 25 to 35 minutes, depending on the time of day.

19 Chabanel/Marché Central, ■ connecting Crémazie métro with Marché Central, currently runs only weekdays after 8 p.m. As of Monday it will run seven days a week, from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Marché Central and until midnight on St-Laurent Blvd.

53 Saint-Laurent, which served ■

St-Laurent Blvd. between Crémazie and Henri-Bourassa Blvds., will be discontinued. The line was made redundant with the improvements to the 19 route and the extension of the 55 Saint-Laurent route to the Henri-Bourassa métro last fall.

81 Saint-Jean-Baptiste , a new ■ route, adds a new north-south link in Rivière-des-Prairies. It connects the Roussin community centre at St-Jean-Baptiste Blvd. and NotreDame St. with Espace-Rivière at Perras and Rodolphe-Forget Blvds. via Maurice-Duplessis and St-Jean-Baptiste Blvds. and the Rivière-des-Prairies train station. The 35-minute, 11-kilometre route will run daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., with buses every 25 minutes.

Minor changes will also be made to the 40, 54, 86, 146 and 183 lines. Details at stm.info.
