One of the Meals on Wheels kitchens in Pierrefond­s needs a kitchen co-ordinator. Tasks include contacting new clients referred by the CLSC, scheduling, communicat­ions with the volunteer team, occasional meetings. Minimum age: 55.

Volunteer West Island is looking for a bilingual volunteer to make friendly phone calls to isolated seniors on Friday mornings from our office in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue. Minimum age: 16.

The Canadian Liver Foundation, Montreal Chapter is looking for committee members to help attract attendees and create awareness of the 2nd Annual Gala Soiree (November 17). This year’s event will be held at the Rialto Theatre, featuring a marionette dinner theatre entertainm­ent with tapas style dinner serving. First committee meeting to be held first week of September, meeting each week until the gala. Minimum age: 18.

The Multiple Myeloma March — Montreal needs volunteers to help with site set-up as well as take down after event, and route marshal/security. The walk will be held on Sunday, Sept. 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at John Abbott College in Ste-Annede-Bellevue. Minimum age: 16.

An English-speaking Italian man in his late 70s in Baie-d’Urfé would like the services of a male volunteer for friendly visits to break his isolation. He is a very lively man who loves to be outdoors, be around the seashore and loves playing Italian cards.

A friendly, kind-hearted former comedian who is in her 80s and residing in Pointe-Claire would benefit from a French-speaking volunteer who could take her on fun social outings. She would love to have picnics by the water, go for coffee or go shopping.
