One of the Meals on Wheels kitchens in Pierrefond­s needs a kitchen co-ordinator. Tasks include contacting new clients referred by the CLSC, scheduling, communicat­ions with the volunteer team, occasional meetings. Minimum age: 55.

Girl Guides of Canada–Guides du Canada, need adults to provide a key role to girls age 5-17. Several positions available, training and police check provided. Minimum age: 18.

The Canadian Liver Foundation, Montreal Chapter is looking for committee members to help attract attendees and create awareness of the 2nd Annual Gala Soiree (Nov. 17) to be held at the Rialto Theatre, featuring a Marionnett­e Dinner Theatre entertainm­ent with Tapas Style dinner. Committee meetings to be held each week until the Gala. Minimum age: 18.

The Multiple Myeloma March – Montreal needs volunteers to help with site setup and take down after event, and route marshal/security. The walk will be Sunday, Sept. 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at John Abbott College in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue. Minimum age: 16.

An English-speaking Italian man in his late 70s in Baie-D’Urfé would like a male volunteer to make friendly visits. He is a lively man who loves to be outdoors, visit the seashore and play Italian cards.

A Dollard resident in her 80s who was a former singer and dancer would love to share some meaningful friendly outings with a female volunteer. She would enjoy going to art shows hosted at the Kirkland library, as well as socialize over a cup of coffee or a meal at a restaurant. She is fully autonomous but does experience problems with mobility so she uses a cane for assistance. She can drive short distances as well.

A pleasant 82-year old LaSalle man who speaks French would appreciate having a male volunteer to break his isolation. He will enjoy friendly home visits and being accompanie­d on social outings and short walks. He likes reading and social gatherings. He is suffering from early stage of dementia and he owns two cats.

A kind-hearted former comedian who is in her 80s and residing in Pointe-Claire would benefit from a French-speaking volunteer who could take her on fun social outings. She would love to have picnics by the water, go for coffee or go shopping.
