Hudgens teams up with Avia
Collection aims to launch in spring 2019
Vanessa Hudgens is teaming with activewear brand Avia on a new capsule collection. The actress, who rose to fame with the High School Musical film series, has built up a reputation for her eclectic personal style over the years and when she’s not working or attending Hollywood events, is often spotted running errands in chic sportswear ensembles. Now, the 29-year-old has announced that she is partnering with Avia on a line and will appear in the accompanying marketing campaign. “I’m looking forward to working on my first apparel collection with an incredible active brand and can’t wait to share my new line with all my fans and fitness enthusiasts alike,” she said in a statement, according to WWD. Hudgens’ range will include pieces such as leggings, tops, jackets, footwear and accessories, with prints featuring heavily. Each item will be priced from US$50-US$90. Eddie Esses, president of Avia parent company Sequential Brands Group’s active division, noted that Hudgens is a natural fit for the brand and he is certain that her designs will have great appeal within the millennial demographic. “Her passion for fitness, cycling, training and nutrition coupled with her down-to-earth approach make her the perfect fit for the Avia brand,” Esses said. “We believe her tremendous star power and powerful social-media presence will not only strengthen our relationships with existing customers, but help us attract new customers, as well.” Hudgens’ line is expected to launch in time for spring 2019. The garments will be available to purchase in stores across the U.S. as well as online.
