February 27, 1929 - April 26, 2020

Peacefully, on Sunday, April 26, 2020 due to Covid-19. Loving and cherished partner of Christine Chan for thirty-two years. Devoted and loving father and father-in-law of Peter and Diane Yanofsky, Richard and Elyssa Yanofsky, and Gale and Lorne Wiseman. Extraordinary Grandpa/papa of Michael, Sydney, Andrew, Kaitlin and Michael, Nikki and Jeremie, Daniel, and Jamie. Beloved son of the late Kitty and the late Michael Yanofsky. Loving brother and brother-in-law of the late Jerry, and Judy Yanofsky. Amazing and favorite uncle of all his cherished nieces and nephews. Very special friend of Anna Mendes and Diane Potter.

He was truly a special guy, with a wonderful sense of humor, always looking for a funny joke or story to tell. His "glass half full" approach touched everyone he came into contact with. He was an optimistic person and never lost sight of what is important in life. He was driven and hardworking, practicing law until he was eighty-three years old. A man of many talents, he was a skilled musician, artist, great athlete, and avid reader. He loved history and was eager to share what he learned with all his grandkids.

His devotion to his parents, his family, grandchildren and close friends knew no limits. His most cherished times were those spent with his family, it was the focus of his life and we are fortunate that he was ours for all these years.
