What’s open and closed on Fête Nationale

Here’s a partial list of what will be open and closed in Montreal during the Fête Nationale on Wednesday, June 24.

Federal and provincial government

■ offices in Quebec will be closed.

The Montreal municipal courthouse

■ on Gosford St. will be closed.

Most major banks will be closed.

SAQ and SQDC outlets will be

closed.

Canada Post will not collect or

deliver mail.

Most city of Montreal offices

will be closed, including borough offices, Access Montreal offices and points of service.

Garbage, recycling and compost

collection will continue on normal schedules in all boroughs except Montreal North, Outremont, St-laurent and Ville-marie. Check your borough for details.

Montreal arenas, swimming

pools, sports centres, libraries and cultural venues that are allowed to be open will operate according to schedules set by boroughs. Please check your local borough’s website for more informatio­n.

Public markets will be open on a

normal schedule.

Société de transport de Montréal

buses and métro will run on holiday schedules. Visit stm.info for details.

Réseau de transport de Longueuil

■ buses will run on Sunday schedules. Visit rtl-longueuil.qc.ca for details.

Société de transport de Laval

buses will run on Sunday schedules. Visit stl.laval.qc.ca for details.

Exo will run buses on a Saturday

■ schedule and trains on Sunday schedules. Those that don’t run on weekends, including the Deux-montagnes shuttle, will not run. Visit exo.quebec for details.

Parking restrictio­ns, including

parking meters, remain in effect.

The Pointe-à-callière Museum

of Archeology and History only reopens Thursday, after being closed due to the pandemic.

The Botanical Garden is open

but the Planetariu­m, Biodome and Insectariu­m remain closed.
