Here’s a partial list of what’s open and closed in Montreal on Canada Day, July 1:

Federal and provincial

government offices in Quebec are closed.

The Montreal municipal

courthouse on Gosford St. is closed.

Most major banks are

closed.

Most SAQ stores are

open.

SQDC outlets are closed.

Canada Post is not collecting

■ or delivering mail.

Ecocentres are open.

Most City of Montreal

offices are closed, including borough offices and permit counters.

Garbage, recycling and

compost collection are continuing on normal schedules in all boroughs except Montreal North and Outremont.

Montreal arenas, swimming

■ pools, sports centres, libraries and cultural venues that are allowed to open are operating according to schedules set by boroughs. Please check your local borough’s website for more informatio­n.

Public markets are open

on a normal schedule.

Société de transport de

Montréal buses and the métro are operating on holiday schedules. Visit stm.info for schedules.

Longueuil and Laval buses

■ are running on Saturday schedules. Visit rtl-longueuil.qc.ca or stl.laval. qc.ca for details.

Exo is running its buses

on Saturday schedules and trains on Sunday schedules. The Deux-montagnes shuttle will not run. Visit exo.quebec for details.

Parking restrictio­ns,

including parking meters, remain in effect.

The Pointe-à-callière

Museum of Archeology and History is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Botanical Garden is

open but the Planetariu­m, Biodome and Insectariu­m remain closed.

Complexe sportif

Claude-robillard is closed, but tennis courts and the running track are open.

Stade de soccer de Montréal

■ is closed.

Centre d’exercice de golf

Sport Montréal 2020 is open.
