YORK, Sonny (Melvyn Yarosky)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sonny York, peacefully and with loved ones at his side. Predecesased by parents, Harry & Rhoda, sister Roslyn and brother Michael. Survived by daughter Vanessa (Dean), brother Harvey (Natalie), nieces Karen (Shareef) and Lauren. Sonny was born and lived most of his life in Montreal, of which he knew every street and neighbourhood. Good food and business talk were his love-languages. He is remembered for his jesting nature, his love of animals and his generosity towards others. Out of respect for the reserved way in which Sonny lived his life, he will be honoured in a private ceremony, on the mountain in the city that was his home. He will be missed by many, now finally at peace.
