La Fontaine Tunnel, Highway 40 closures

Motorists should avoid the following areas this weekend because of extensive roadwork projects.

La Fontaine Tunnel: Closed toward Montreal between Exit 90 (toward La Prairie, Varennes) and the entrances from Notre-dame and Curatteau streets, from 12:30 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday. Southbound, one of three lanes is closed between the beginning of the tunnel and Highway 132 from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday

Highway 40: Closed westbound between the Laurentian interchang­e (Exit 70) and Cavendish Boulevard, from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. In Anjou, the eastbound service road will be completely closed between Champ-d'eau Street and Galeries-d'anjou Boulevard from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

St-pierre Interchang­e: The ramp from Highway 20 East toward the Mercier Bridge will be completely closed between 11:59 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday. One lane on Highway 20 eastbound will be closed between 1st Avenue and the interchang­e. One of two lanes will also be closed on the ramp from Highway 20 West (Exit 63) toward Highway 138 West during the same time.

Highway 10: The Bonaventur­e Expressway will be completely closed in both directions between Wellington Street and the Victoria Bridge between 11 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday.

Highway 13: From 7 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday, one lane out of three in both directions on the Louis-bisson bridge connecting Montreal and Laval will be closed during the day, and a second lane at night.

Highway 30: In Longueuil's St-hubert borough, Exit 73 (for Cousineau Boulevard., Chemin de Chambly) on Highway 30 East will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
