Winnifred mcDonough passed away at Extendicare on Sunday June 11, 2012. Winnie was born on July 24, 1911. She lived her entire life in moose Jaw and district. Her parents, Ernest Oswald lowe and Nellie Fitzmaurice lived and farmed in the Baildon district 12 miles south of moose Jaw. Winnie attended Ross Collegiate in moose Jaw for high school, and trained at the moose Jaw Hospital. In 1931 Winnie married James mcDonough. They had five sons. lawrence (Shirley) of Victoria BC; James (anna marie) of Ottawa; Edward 1935 – 1936; Terrance 1938 – 2004; and Kenneth (Edie) of Qualicum Beach, BC. Winnie had 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. Winnie was overjoyed to celebrate her 100th birthday with her family on July 24, 2011 at St. aidan Church. She was predeceased by her parents, brother George, sister-in-law Gwen, brotherin-law Ed Schoenroth, husband Jim, sons Edward and Terrance, and daughter-in-law angela. Winnie’s sister Frances and favorite nephew Gary Schoenroth and wife Karen have been Winnie’s constant support over the past years. The Family is much indebted for the loving concern they have shown to Winnie. a Celebration of Winnie’s life will be held at W.J. Jones & Son Chapel on Wednesday June 20, 2012 at 1:30 pm.
