Judy Guan is the newest restaurant owner of Moose Jaw. Located on Main Street in downtown Moose Jaw, the Jin Xiu Restaurant is set to open on December 22nd for licenced dining. It will feature traditional Chinese and Canadian dishes with some variations, all made inhouse and using local, fresh ingredients. Innovative dishes include chicken sautée with melon, pork with shredded potato, ginger fried shredded beef and more. There is also a wide selection of family and party combination dinners for up to six people. A buffet is served over the lunch and dinner hours, with an additional menu listing individual dishes. There is also a Chinese style fondue. Patrons choose the type of meat they want, from beef to seafood, and are provided with a broth, either mild or spicy, to cook it at their table. There is both delivery and catering available. In the near future, Jin Xiu Restaurant is planning to offer meals for fundraising purposes. Renovations were made to the space to bring it up to code, and to make it accessible to all residents. The restaurant is large, with comfortable seating and lots of natural light. Guests have a choice of sitting in booths or at tables. It is a family-run business open from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. daily, except Mondays and holidays. They are happy to take reservations and orders by phone at 306692-4777. Visit Jin Xiu Restaurant, located at #105-361 Main Street North.
