SOAR for Cystic Fibrosis

- Joan Ritchie

There’s a young lady in Moose Jaw that has already captured the hearts of the community in her fight against Cystic Fibrosis. Cassidy Evans continues her battle; there is no known cure. Since her diagnosis five years ago, Cassidy’s annual Lemonade Stand raises money to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis and since 2012, she has raised $30,000 from the stand. The Evans family has now established a non-profit organization, Celebrating Simple Life to host events and do everything possible to find a cure through fundraising endeavours. “We all can make a difference for someone with a dark circumstance and bring light to it,” says Kimberly. “The goal is to create more events and turn it into a way for more awareness, as well as cross promote events with other businesses, charities and organizations.” Celebrating Simple Life is pleased to announce the upcoming K+S Potash Canada SOAR for Cystic Fibrosis event that will be held at the Moose Jaw Municipal Airport on Saturday, May 5th, 2018.

“It will be a whimsical evening,” she says, “creating an atmosphere where we can all celebrate living life to its fullest, while raising money for a cause so dear to our hearts.”

The evening will feature Entertainment by country music artist, Tenille Arts, an Aerobatics perfor- mance by Brent Handy, fabulous food & beverages in the most unique atmosphere as well as many other unique elements including a Grand Prize Raffle Trip to Nashville.

This event will intrigue and capture the hearts and imaginations of those who attend and it will be a night you won’t want to miss!
