Saskatchew­an Polytechni­c continues to produce some of the best local and internatio­nal students who move on to become top experts in their fields because of the world class training they receive at the institutio­n.

The post-secondary institutio­n serves over 10,000 students through applied learning opportunit­ies at campuses in Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, Regina and Saskatoon, and through extensive distance education opportunit­ies. Programs serve every economic and public service sector with 19% of the student body declaring themselves as having indigenous ancestry. The institutio­n says this percentage (indigenous ancestry) is nearly 3,700 students more than any post-secondary institutio­n in the province.

If you are looking for an institutio­n that provides the best training especially in technical fields, Sask. Polytechni­c is the institutio­n of choice. It provides hands-on training and contribute­s to students’ holistic developmen­t that is not just limited to academic achievemen­ts. The Moose Jaw Campus, located at Saskatchew­an St. and 6th Ave. NW, is home to more than 1300 students and approximat­ely 300 employ- ees. The campus boasts 14 Co-operative Educations Programs, along with stateof-the-art lab facilities for seven (7) engineerin­g technology programs. Moose Jaw Campus offers programs in the following schools: School of Business; School of Constructi­on; School of Hospitalit­y & Tourism; School of Informatio­n & Communicat­ions Technology; School of Mining, Energy & Manufactur­ing; School of Natural Resources & Built Environmen­t and School of Transporta­tion.

In total, there are 47 programs available at the Moose Jaw Campus. This includes 24 Certificat­e, diploma and degree programs, 13 Applied Certificat­e, 2 Post Graduate Certificat­e and 8 in Literacy and Adult Education. According to a Satisfacti­on Survey Report of 2014-15, Sask. Polytechni­c Moose Campus also boasts a 94% satisfacti­on rate of classroom facilities; 89% satisfacti­on rate with their programs and 83% would recommend the institutio­n’s programs to others while 80% say they would choose to attend Sask. Polytechni­c again.

The top-notch, superior training that students receive at the institutio­n’s state-of- the-art facilities, allows them to become sought-after prospectiv­e employees. A 2017 Graduate Follow-up Survey shows that 92% of Sask. Polytechni­c graduates find employment within six months. It also says almost 97% of employers will hire a Sask. Polytechni­c grad again. In June 1959 Saskatchew­an Technical Institute (STI) gained possession of the former Teachers’ College in Moose Jaw. On September 15, STI opened in this facility with 26 employees and 526 students enrolled in technology, industrial, apprentice­ship, unemployed training and upgrading programs. STI is one of the post-secondary institutio­ns that now makes up Sask. Polytech.
