Voltage promises exciting events for youth

-

One of the biggest youth events of the year, “Voltage” is back again and will be taking place at Hillcrest Church on New Year’s Eve. Joe’s Place, who puts on the event, is hoping to once again pack the venue with hundreds of youth who are having a blast and staying safe and sober instead of the many other negative party options that are out there on New Year’s Eve. Joe Dueck said it will be a night filled with fun, safe and high energy activities for teens to enjoy. “We have an art room, spa, karaoke contest, two virtual reality gaming systems, video game tournaments and a mini movie theatre. Youth can take on their friends with Sumo Tricycle Joust, Gladiator Games on the inflatables, or they can try the, “Sword In The Stone” Escape Room. All new this year we have, “9 Square in the Air”, “Gaga Ball” and “Clash of Clans Live” where the entire main auditorium becomes an epic medieval battle including catapults and archery tag.” There will also be contests, competitions and prizes like a Nintendo Switch, a 50-inch Smart TV, a Canon Rebel SL1 Camera for the Voltage Photo Contest, or how about your very own life-size suit of Medieval armour. “Back by popular demand, Voltage is proud to present eight-time GMA Award winning band, “The Color”, live in concert. Youth also get to meet (and even hold) a live Peregrine Falcon named, “Ahsoka”, adds Dueck.

Advance tickets for Voltage - “The Quest”, are $20 and are available at Joe’s Place, Steady Goods, John’s Music and Hillcrest Church. For more details go to voltage-sk. com. Due to a sold out show last year, persons are encouraged to buy their tickets in advance and arrive on time. Registration is from 8 p.m. to no later than 9:30 p.m. If the venue is at max capacity those arriving later than 9 p.m. may not be allowed in.
