It is with great sadness that the family of Norma Wiman announce her passing on Saturday December 23, 2017 at the age of 97. Norma enjoyed cooking, gardening, milking cows, horseback riding, dancing and music. She liked to play bingo and a good game of cards. She was a member of the Gloom Chasers Club at Parkbeg and an associate member of the Legion Auxiliary in Moose Jaw. Norma was kind, generous to people and a person with a big heart. Predecease­d by her parents Otis and Irene Young; husband Francis Wiman; siblings Lottie (Jack) Barth, Simeon (Molly) Young, Harvey (Edith) Young, Gordon (Mona) Young; grandson Kelly Hawken; nephews George Young, Randy Young and Terry Barth. Norma will be sadly missed by her children Raymond (Marcia) Wiman, Dianne (Dan) Hawken, Edwin (Maxine) Wiman; grandchild­ren Marci (Ron) Schenk-Pouteaux, Keitha (Terry) Hansen, Lori (Doug) Kinloch, Lana (Kevin) Erickson-Hawken, Barry (Cheryl) Wagg, Phillip (Karen) Wagg, Cory (Julie) Wagg; 15 great grandchild­ren; 6 great-great-grandchild­ren; as well as nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciati­on to the caring and compassion­ate staff of Pioneers Lodge, and a very special thank you to Loretta Williams, Norma’s niece. “Thank you for looking after Norma, our mother and grandmothe­r, with love, compassion and friendship.”.

A Funeral Service was held on Friday December 29, 2017 at 1:30 PM at W. J. Jones Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw. Reverend Dave Moore will officiate.
