MLAs Column Warren Michelson
Premier Scott Moe is taking over after a decade of growth under Brad Wall’s leadership. The Saskatchewan Party Caucus is ready to come together under new direction to keep Saskatchewan growing stronger for the benefit of all our citizens.
Premier Moe is the MLA for the constituency of Rosthern-Shellbrook, first elected in 2011. His involvement on legislative committees and in Cabinet has given him solid experience to stand on as Premier. He has served as Minister of Environment and Advanced Education, as well as Minister responsible for the Saskatchewan Water Corporation and Saskatchewan Water Security Agency.
On election night in 2007, when Brad Wall gave his now well-known, “Hope Beats Fear” victory speech, and for the next decade, Saskatchewan was chartered on a positive new direction. It was no wonder Brad Wall was consistently Canada’s most popular premier. He was a man of humility, but with a bold vision. He was an articulate, entertaining speaker. Brad Wall would have us laughing one minute, and deeply inspired the next. It was heartwarming to watch him at functions such as the barbecues he attended in Moose Jaw, as he interacted with a genuine personal touch and listening ear.
