The featured book this month is In Case I Go by Angie Abdou. Angie Abdou’s fifth work of fiction is about the many ways we’re haunted by the misdeeds of our ancestors. SEA CADETS is Open to Teens 12-18: the program is free and is sponsored by the Department of National Defence and the Navy League branch. You have the opportunit­y to learn to sail, learn rope work and other ship operations as in navigation semaphore and communicat­ion, and also have the opportunit­y to travel with the Sea Cadet deployment­s to places like India, Japan and other coastal communitie­s, but let’s not forget about summer training. Cadets meet Monday nights at 6:30pm at the Armouries at the top of Main St.
